A complete copy of our current bylaws (PDF) can be found on our web site. SUMMARY of Proposed Amendment: Require a two-thirds majority vote of the board of directors in order to approve changes to the American Fencing League Fencing Rules. Requires that the board publish proposed changes to the rules in the AFL newsletter or by first-class mail and allow a 30-day period for comments from the members prior to voting on the proposal. For urgent changes, the board may declare an emergency, thereby waiving the requirement for the comment period and making the rule change effective immediately. This proposal was made by Joel Klepper, the AFL director for the National Division, with suggestions from the rest of the board. The board of directors recommends a YES vote on this amendment.
